New torpedo level offers durability and convenience in highly visible leveling tool

Stanley introduces the Lighted High Impact Torpedo Level, a highly durable and versatile torpedo level that features a unibody rubber construction, rigid aluminum frame, shock resistant rubber ends and a rubber insulated center vile. For convenience and usability, the level features lighted shock resistant vials, a centrally located rubber on/off button that automatically shuts off after three minutes, v-groove and magnetic edges and water resistant body.

Atlanta, Georgia, February 8, 2002 - Stanley introduces the Lighted High Impact Torpedo Level, a durable torpedo level that features a unibody rubber construction, lightweight aluminum frame, shock resistant rubber end caps and shatter resistant vials with rubber insulation around the top center vial.

A centrally located on/off rubber vial light button makes it easy to illuminate the vials while working in tight and poorly lit areas, ideal for many plumbing and electrical applications. The magnetic edge is designed for taking measurements on metal surfaces and the v-groove edge is designed for taking measurements on piping, often located in hard to reach places.

"When pros work in hard to reach, poorly lit areas, they need a tool they can use with ease," said Teri Prive, Global Product Manager for Stanley® Layout Tools. "The Lighted High Impact Torpedo Level has the features and durability that electricians, plumbers and contractors demand."

The Stanley® Lighted High Impact Torpedo Level is available at hardware stores and home centers wherever Stanley® products are sold and has a suggested retail price of $14.99. It is also available in a nonmagnetic unlighted version ($6.99 M.S.R.P) and a magnetic unlighted version ($7.99 M.S.R.P).
