New laser level features the durability of a FatMax™ Level with the convenience and accuracy of laser technology

SUMMARY: Stanley takes the bold features of a FatMax™ level and combines them with the accuracy and convenience of laser technology to create the Stanley® FatMax™ Laser Level. The FatMax™ Laser Level incorporates durable features not typically found in 'laser tools' such as shock absorbing end caps with non-marring bumpers. To add to the level's durability, it has an enhanced aluminum construction and impact-resistant solid block vials. The extra large comfort grip handle makes the tool more comfortable to carry and easier to grab on the job site. The FatMax™ Laser Level operates using 5mW power at a wavelength range of 635-670nm and offers a system accuracy of +/- ¼" at 100'. The beam line spreader, beam cross line and 90-degree beam splitter adapters help simplify a wide range of indoor leveling, aligning and squaring applications.

Atlanta, Georgia, February 8, 2002 - Stanley introduces the FatMax™ Laser Lever, combining the durable features and bold look of the original FatMax™ Level with laser technology. Its sophisticated design makes a variety of applications easier including trimming wall tiles, plumbing wall cabinets or aligning a doorframe.

The FatMax™ Laser Level is a durable tool featuring an enhanced aluminum construction to increase stability, impact-resistant solid block vials, shock absorbing end caps that reduce damage to the body and non-marring bumpers that don't mark-up work surfaces. To make the level as comfortable to use as it is durable, it offers an extra large comfort grip handle making it easier to hold and grab on the job site. To help ensure the job is done right, the FatMax™ Laser Level provides users with a system accuracy of +/- ¼" at 100', while operating on 5mW of power at a wavelength range of 635-670nm.

The level's beam line spreader, beam cross line and 90-degree beam splitter adapters help users perform a wide range of indoor leveling, aligning and squaring applications faster and more conveniently than using a traditional level with a pencil or chalk-line. Some applications include trimming porches and deck posts, aligning cabinets and wall tiles and plumbing/leveling windows and frames.

The complete Stanley® FatMax™ Laser Level kit includes the FatMax™ Laser Level, beam line spreader adapter, beam cross line adapter, carrying case, reflective laser target, AAA batteries and an instruction manual. The suggested retail price for the Stanley® FatMax™ Laser Level kit is $99.00. It is available at hardware stores and home centers wherever Stanley® products are sold.
