Orlando, Florida, January 13, 2005 –
Stanley announces the addition of fourteen new products to
its current line of demolition tools. These tools are equipped
to take on, or apart, whatever comes at them. New products
include three FatMax® Wrecking Bars, a complete line of specialized
pry bars and nail pulling bars, and six new demolition hammers!

us they need top performance from their demolition tools,”

demolition tool line that is comfortable to use and ultra-durable
for tackling the toughest jobs.”
Wrecking Bars
Stanley introduces three new FatMax® Wrecking Bars, all of
which incorporate a tri-lobe cross-section design engineered
for outstanding strength and performance. These FatMax® Wrecking
Bars are forged from high-carbon steel for extra strength
and are then powder-coated in Stanley Yellow to achieve increased
visibility on the job.
FatMax® Wrecking Bars (crow bars) incorporate the traditional
“goose neck” pattern for increased leverage and
are currently available in 14”, 24” and 36”
inch bar sizes. The carbon-forged steel allows pros to use
these tools for nearly everything; from heavy prying, dismantling
timber and opening packing cases, to nail removal and other
minor demolition work. All are sold individually with a suggested
retail price under $20.
Pry Bars and Nail Pulling Bars
Stanley adds a full complement of pry bars and nail pulling
bars to their growing repertoire of demolition tools. Designed
with the pro in mind, Stanley begins by forging each bar from
high carbon steel, which is then heat treated for added strength
and durability. The STANLEY® Pry Bars incorporate a thin,
flared end, used to pry off crown and base molding without
damaging the wall or actual material; with a V-shaped tail
on the other end, for prying out buried or damaged nails.
Combining these unique geometries allows the end user to carry
one tool to get the job done. The STANLEY® Nail Pulling Bars
are also available with the traditional cat’s-paw design,
allowing users to easily dig out imbedded and broken nails.
STANLEY® Pry Bars come in 8”, 10” and 12”
and have a suggested retail price under $20.
Demolition Hammers
The new range of STANLEY® Demolition Hammers will take on
the challenges of any jobsite.
Drilling Hammer: The drilling hammer features a forged steel
head and compact design. The strong fiberglass short handle
is light and durable for increased visibility in hard-hitting
and limited-swing areas and is wrapped in a yellow jacket
for higher visiblity. The STANLEY® Drilling Hammer is available
in 2 lb. and 3 lb. versions wherever STANLEY ® products are
sold and has a suggested retail price under $20.
Engineer Hammer: The engineer hammer is equipped with a forged
steel head and two hardened and tempered faces for extended
application. The strong fiberglass handle helps drive stakes
into the ground in open areas and has a highly visible yellow
jacket. The STANLEY® Engineer Hammer is available in 2.5 lb.
and 4 lb. versions and has a suggested retail price under
$20.
Blacksmith Hammer: The blacksmith hammer features a forged
steel head with a hardened and tempered machine finish face
for extended application. The strong fiberglass long handle
includes a yellow jacket for higher visibility. The hammer
is ideal for metal work and for overall hitting applications.
The STANLEY® Blacksmith Hammer is available in 2.5 lb. and
4 lb. versions and has a suggested retail price under $20.
